Last October 20 and 23, 2017, the Phi Lambda Delta Sorority held public health lectures on breastfeeding to the mothers at the OB OPD, Ward 14 and Ward 16 at PGH, as part of its flagship project, Milk Matters. With the goal of promoting sustainable service, the sisses educated the mothers on the benefits of breastfeeding and the proper latch-on technique in order to ensure that the baby will get enough milk. Milk bags and breast pads were also distributed while the mothers were informed on how they can donate their extra breastmilk to the babies in need at the PGH NICU.
