Med Mission with PMHS
It was a Saturday morning when service, one of our beloved sorority’s core values was again exemplified last July 10, in a Medical Mission sponsored by the UP Pre-Medical Honor Society at the Barangay University of the Philippines Campus in Diliman, Quezon City.
The UP-PMHS is an academic and civic-oriented organization of exemplary pre-medical students dedicated to the pursuit of honor and excellence. The org seeks to channel the potential of pre-med students to the service of the Filipino community and to prepare them for their profession. Working with our Sister Caritas, Chekai Jiao, is Mark Pascual the PMHS VP for Academics. The organization’s project, Kapit-Bisig: A Community Health Fair was a combination of sanitation education, disease prevention seminar and free clinic.
The Medical Mission was held from 8 in the morning to 12 noon. While the brods and sisses were examining patients, the PMHS members and apps who were partnered to us assisted by giving the patients their prescribed medicines.
Present in the med mission were alumna Nikki Valbuena, interns Allison Quicoy and Raissa Tud, clerk  Orlyn Lavilla, as well as 2013 sisses Muriel Espana, Mika Esquivel, Dindin Grey, Alex Ibanez, Chekai Jiao, CJ Jimenez, Marisse Nepumoceno, Tracy Paulino and Abi Roxas.Â
