OPD Signs Project
Written by Regina Morabe, Phi07

Last year, we at the Phi Lambda Delta Sorority celebrated our Ruby Anniversary to mark our 40th year of existence. As part of commemorating this important milestone, we wanted to give due acknowledgement and gratitude to the institution that nurtured our minds, opened our horizons, and equipped us with the necessary skills and values to pursue our careers in the field of medicine. Thus, several projects for the Philippine General Hospital were undertaken, and one of these was the installation of new signs in the Out Patient Department Building. This project was our sorority's response to the noticeable lack of visible signs at the PGH OPD. A total of 30 signs were installed, and these included directional signs, as well as various department, clinic and office signs, to help patients and guests find their way around the building. The new signs were officially turned over to the PGH Department of Outpatient Services on February 1, 2010, in the presence of Dr. Anthony Perez, Department of Outpatient Services Chair, Ma'am Dolly Dapuyan, OPD administrator, and Dr. Charlotte Chiong, Deputy Director for Health Operations.
