A Night to Remember and of Remembering

Do you remember why you joined Phi? What was your most memorable experience with your sisses? August 18, 2010 was certainly a night of reminiscing and walking down memory lane as the Phi Lambda Delta Sorority held this year’s InPHInite Possibilities with the theme Boundless… Timeless… Phi. The event, held at the 7th floor of the Robinson’s Place Residences, served to welcome the ladies of UPCM Class 2015 to med school as well as to introduce them to the sorority.
As a sumptuous dinner was served to the guests, opening remarks were given by Ling Jara of Φ‘08. Phi Batch 2009, also known as 40PHIed, then performed their rendition of The Corrs’ hit At Your Side. Several sisses then shared their personal experiences in Phi. These sisses include Dr. Ada Yao of Φ‘06, Dr. Victoria Ang of Φ‘00B, and Dr. Lee Heredia of Φ‘96B. Chekai Jiao of Φ’08 talked about the service activities of the sorority under PAGKALMA, or Pagkalinga sa Kalusugan ng Mamamayan, Phi’s service arm. Muriel España and Alex Ibañez, both of Φ’08, then talked about the sorority’s upcoming event, Rx: A Work of Heart, to be held this November.
Â
Before the evening ended, the guests broke up into small groups in which the freshman girls could ask questions--about med school, Phi, or anything under the sun. This also allowed the sisses, both resident and alumnae alike, to go back to their many, many experiences in med and in Phi, showing just how boundless and timeless the sisterhood of Phi really is.
Â
Other alumnae present at the event were Dr. Meliza Agulto Φ‘04, Dr. Gene Cruz Φ‘02B, Dr. Magoo Echavez Φ‘03B, Dr. Hanna Lucero Φ‘03B, Dr. QPie Reyes Φ‘04, Dr. Maisa Reyes-Catindig Φ‘92, Dr. Jo Rodriguez Φ‘03A, Dr. Arunee Siripunvarapon Φ‘02B, Dr. Girlie Teotico-Ching Φ‘92B, Dr. Karen Tiuseco Φ‘02B, and Dr. Irish Valiña Φ‘03B.

InPHInite Possibilities 2010 was hosted by Shayne Fajutagana and Mindy Santiago, both from Phi Φ‘09, and was headed by Maetrix Ocon and Tracy Paulino, both also from Φ‘09.
