Good news, sisses! Dr. Josefina Real Amonte (Phi 1969, UPCM 1972) is a UP Alumni Association Awardee for Women Empowerment! Dr. Almonte is also the current (and first woman) president of the Philippine College of Surgeons. The awarding ceremonies was held last June 25, 2011 at Ang Bahay ng Alumni, UP Diliman campus, Quezon City.
